Well, things are progressing reasonably well here in the desert.
I'm at a good point in my training at Cirque, being able to run all four backstage tracks and do a lot of office work on my own. It's still a big work in progress but I'm certainly feeling more comfortable. I have a ways to go but I'm feeling good.
The house is coming along nicely. We are still missing a sofa bed and a bookshelf, but other than that it is looking pretty darn good. I'm hoping soon I'll be able to start thinking about growing herbs on our little balcony.
John has an agent and new headshots. These are very useful things as it makes it a lot easier for him to apply for work. He is diligently looking for jobs and we're using all the resources we can think of to get him in touch with the right people. He is certainly looking forward to being a Stunt Guy again. For now, he's working out about 2 hours a day 6 days a week. He can run 5 miles in 45 minutes. It's quite impressive.
A month ago we went to California to go to a Stone Sour concert which was a surprise for John as I refused to tell him where we were going and why. It was a really fun trip. Feeling humidity was a lovely lovely thing.
Coming up, John will be heading back to Atlanta for a little bit to do some teaching and fight directing. I'll be here in the desert keeping busy and learning.
Did you know vision insurance is awesome? John has been wearing two right contact lenses for about a year. He says that now "everything is pretty". I consider that a win.
